FAYY's Story & Mission
FAYY was born from a passion to bring Chinese art and heritage into the world of horology. Each project is grounded in research and a clearly defined cultural idea, developed in close collaboration with the artists, artisans, and inheritors whose knowledge gives the work its depth. This foundation shapes the watch itself, from artwork and materials to construction and display, rather than remaining a motif applied to its surface. Each timepiece forms one chapter in a continuing exploration: a bridge into a different conception of time, given form through horology.

The Story Behind Manman
Yuan Longjun, chief designer of panda culture at the World Eco-Design Organization, has spent more than thirty years on panda art and gives Manman her posture, expression, and emotional identity.
"For thirty years, every panda I have created has stemmed from my personal understanding and imagination," says Master Yuan. "Manman came from FAYY. We took several months to nail down her life and story, and to capture the perfect frozen moment for this timepiece." That moment carries a message: born in 2020, the year China committed to its carbon-neutrality goals, Manman thrives in a world where the wild panda population has grown past 1,900. Protecting her world, Yuan suggests, also means protecting our own.
Manman is not a decorative motif. She is a character whose life story forms the emotional heart of the watch.
"Manman exists only in my heart," says Yau, founder of FAYY. "We created her purely from our passion and love for China's pandas. Through this watch, we wanted Manman to continue existing in the hearts of many more people, giving the watch its own character and mission."
In her story, Manman was born deep in a wild bamboo forest in Sichuan in the autumn of 2020, raised by her mother for two and a half years, and by the summer of 2026, had just entered adulthood. FAYY spent months shaping her life before designing the watch around her, so the portrait on the dial is drawn from a journey rather than a decorative idea. True to the character "Man" (曼) in her name, which suggests gentleness and quiet ease, the chosen scene captures her in a moment of stillness, gently eating bamboo: a life distilled into one painted moment.
